Following Principal Maggie Rodriguez's decision to step down from her position to spend time with her family and take care of her newborn daughter, the Madison School District has decided to place Mrs. Priscilla Gossett as the principal of Madison Park Middle School beginning July 2023. Mrs. Rodriguez faithfully served the Park community for eight years and we honor the positive impact she made on the Park community. She will be missed and we wish her well in her future endeavors. Assistant Principal Becky Galindo will serve as Interim Principal for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year.

Mrs. Gossett has been the principal of Madison Heights Elementary for the past 13 years and previously served as assistant principal at Madison Park. She cherished her time at Madison Park and is excited to bring her experience to this role as principal. Mrs. Gossett is one of the district’s highly successful principals and under her leadership, the Spanish Immersion and REACH gifted programs at Heights have flourished.

Mrs. Gossett brings a collaborative approach to leadership. She is a proven leader in Madison that balances student achievement with a positive and supportive climate. She is so excited to return to Park, where her career as an administrator began, to work hand-in-hand with the staff and community, to open the new building, and embrace the STEAM signature program. In the coming months, she will meet with staff and parent leaders to ensure a smooth transition and a successful school year.
